The Chaplaincy is currently hosting an Exhibition showing the paintings of esteemed Ukrainian folk artist Maria Prymachenko. Maria Prymachenko was regarded as a master of the naïve style, whose self-taught, vibrant art reflected her interest and response to the natural world around her. This coupled with her interest in folk traditions and tales meant she created a wonderful legacy of vibrant, bold art across different mediums of painting, ceramics and embroidery. She was awarded various prizes and awards during her lifetime and had her works exhibited in Paris World Fair where they garnered the interest and admiration of Picasso.
