All Events A list of the current events offered by the Chaplaincy Capacitar Tai Chi Wellbeing Capacitar tai chi is a wonderful way to feel grounded and calm and gives us an opportunity to connect to the healing energy of nature around us. For details on how to join these weekly Capacitar Tai Chi drop-sessions please go to here. Our weekly Capacitar Tai Chi drop-ins take place both in-person in Sanctuary at The Chaplaincy Centre and will also be streamed online using Zoom for anyone who wants to join online. Please note that places are limited in the Meeting Room and are on a first come first serve basis. Compassion & Empathy in work and life A cross-University team have developed a self-directed course available to all students and staff of the University to help navigate the importance of compassion & empathy in work and life Grief Group The Grief Group is a bi-weekly peer support group for students. For those who want to talk about grief or dying, with people who may have similar thoughts or experiences. A welcoming, confidential space, for talking, listening and being heard. All welcome, biscuits provided and bringing of own hot drinks encouraged! There is no expectation that you have to attend every week, but you are welcome to come along as and when you can. For people of any religious belief or none whatsoever. Holy Communion Details of Holy Communion at The Chaplaincy which is held every Wednesday of term time. Mindfulness Information and resources for Mindfulness practice including drop-ins, day retreats and courses run at The Chaplaincy Centre. PhD Book Club PhD Book Club meets 3:30-5pm on Fridays every six weeks, with Dr Kitty Wheater and Revd Dr Harriet Harris (both PhD veterans!). Open to all PhD students, we’ll read books that cast light on the trials, tribulations, and mundanities of PhD life, offering perspective and inspiration for the time ahead.
